What a great thing to experience. We also have taken in animals so see how this
is done with a catch and release environment is amazing.

I see this is your second experience in Tucson. It's a great town, isn't it? Are you from there or do you have family there? When I go this summer I now hope to go to Casino Del Sol and learn how to make a proper margarita!

I lived in Tucson for 8 years and still have a house there. When I first moved there, tarantulas were quite a novelty and while I cherished every encounter, I never picked one up! Not sure I could. The Desert Museum is fantastic. One of my favorite places.

RI, Providence and Federal Hill are SO small (for a capitol city) you REALLY stumbled onto a jewel. I adore Venda, it's almost like a little side trip to Italy and the family atmosphere is so welcoming ! If you had called, Id have met you for a bottle of wine and tiramisu ! ;)

Awesome!! I also did this while at Portofino a couple of weeks ago had the time of my life! Definitely worth it! Everyone at Portofino and the guys with Captain Jim were awomese! Everyone was so helpful with putting me at ease about jumping out of a plane! I highly redommend anyone to do this!

I also have a fear of going deep down into water, but think I would really enjoy it if I could get down and see the amazing things you can only see from scubaing, nice to know you were able to overcome your fear!

I SO admire your bravery! I visited the Utah Olympic Park last month on a press trip, and couldn't even ride the Alpine Slide, even though it's the longest slide in the U.S., and that's sorta the whole point of my blog! It just looked so scary from the bottom looking up!

Emily -You rock!! I think this was a great thing to do! You are an excellent exalpme of how easy it can be to overcome you fears by being open-minded about it. I work with Nate, and he is the BEST at this kind of thing. I wish more of the public would follow in your (and your Dad's) footsteps and get to know reptiles. They get a bad reputation based on non-factual information. The truth is they are amazing creatures that haven't changed in billions of years. We have a lot to learn from them and education is the first step in conservation, not only of reptiles but of everything on this planet.Thank you again for posting this and I hope you and your family will come to visit us (and your new reptilian friends) at PHS very soon!Wendy CassidyMarketing Director, PHS
